Missouri Valley St. Patrick's Parish

A high-quality education is one of the most important assets we can provide for our children. We believe exposure to a variety of topics, people, and adventures all contribute to a fulfilling educational experience.

St. Patrick's Elementary School is a beacon of hope, which has illuminated the Missouri Valley community for over 90 years. This Catholic grade school is the last of its kind in Harrison County. We offer a quality academic education, with a strong Christian foundation for children in Preschool (Age 3) through the 8th Grade. Children of all faiths and communites are welcome.

Missouri Valley Community Schools

The Missouri Valley Community School District has approximately 1,000 students attending its 3 buildings in the City. Over 70 certified teachers provide a strong support base for our children to grow and learn in a wholesome environment.

Built in 1976, The Missouri Valley High School has 270 students at its 609 E. Lincoln Highway location. An Iowa Communications Network fibers optic room and 4 computer labs are housed here. The school recently expanded to add the middle school section in 1998 to replace the old middle school on 8th street which was tore down. A new weight room and wrestling room were added to the front of the high school in the fall of 1999.

The Missouri Valley Middle School part was constructed so that students from both schools don't intermix and some facilities are shared. The middle school now contains 240 students in grades 6-8.

The new Missouri Valley Elementary School, formally known as Linn School, was built in 1956 and expanded in 1998. The school is responsible for assuring a solid educational foundation which students will build on for the rest of their lives. The Missouri Valley Elementary School houses grades PreS-5.

The new superintendant office is now located in the old Primary Building.
